DC Comics Joins PSN Digital Comics Service

DC Comics is bringing their anticipated MMO – DC Universe Online – over to the PlayStation 3 and PC really soon. After hands-on time with it, we speculate that it’s going to be an amazing game. But an MMO isn’t the only thing that DC Comics is bringing to the PlayStation family.

DC Comics will begin distributing its gargantuan lineup of published comics via the PlayStation Store starting today, allowing PSP users to make more use of the digital comics reader. With over 80 comics with ranging from $0.99 to $2.99, fans will be able to enjoy their favorite heroes on the go. Some of the comics being offered include: God of War, Resistance, Batman: Hush, Green Lantern: Rebirth, and Superman/Batman. Just to tease us a bit, a free 10-page preview of Superman #700 will be up for grabs.

With the addition of DC Comics to the PlayStation Store’s digital comics reader, Sony has also updated the Digital Comics application to version 2.01, which will add numerous features, including the ability to delete comics directly from the application, and the ability to read right-to-left for Japanese manga.
