Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 for PS4 and PS Vita Could Get a Western Release, With a Caveat

on August 18, 2015 2:20 PM

In an interview on Famitsu, that as usual has been leaked before it hits the Japanese news stands tomorrow, Producer Yosuke Hayashi mentions that Dead of Alive Xtreme 3 could get a western release if the demand is high, but it would be “adapted” for the western market.

While we don’t know the extent of that adaptation, we also learn that it will use an upgraded Soft Engine 2.0 on PS4, while the Vita version will use the “Soft Engine Lite.” It will also use the touch screen and the motion cntrols of the PS Vita.

The game will not include all the heroines of the series, but a sort of popularity vote based on the downloads of custom themes coming on August 20th will be used to partly determine the selection. New characters might be released via DLC.
