Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Planned to Be Exclusive for Japan and Asia

Today Dead or Alive Producer Yosuke Hayashi announced the development of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, but bad news came afterwards by way of Team Ninja’s official Facebook page.

We announced DOAX3 (Working Title) today, but it will be made exclusively for Japan and Asian market.

I can definitely see many being very displeased by this (and most of the comments on the Facebook post show that many fans are definitely not amused). Koei Tecmo has been quite active in localizing almost everything within its production as of late.

While it’s understandable that the publisher might not want to put itself on the line of fire of the usual criticism, it’s still a pity to be missing on a game, especially considering that the actual gameplay of the first Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball was quite fun.

Hopefully many will request a localization over the next few months, enough to push the publisher towards a change of direction on this decision.
