Recently, GOG.com revealed on its store page that Deadlight: Director's Cut is now available, free of charge. The promotion will be valid until Wednesday, August 16th.

The game can be downloaded here, only for PC.

Originally released on June 21st, 2016 for the Xbox 360 Deadlight is a cinematic side-scrolling survival horror platformer developed by Tequila Works and published by Microsoft Studios. Set in the year 1986 players control Randall Wayne, a former park ranger who sets out to find his family during a zombie outbreak. Players traverse throughout an apocalyptic Seattle while avoiding hordes of undead as well as a group of assailants known as "New Law."

Upon its release, the game received praise for its in-game visuals and atmosphere. In 2016 Deep Silver published a Director's Cut version of the game for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Deadlight: Director's Cut is an enhanced port of the original game featuring updated visuals, textures, improved controls, as well as new animations, to make Randall easier to control.

Additionally, Deadlight: Director's Cut offers a new game mode called "Survival Arena," which allows players to use interactive defenses to block zombies, access new areas in the game or fight back your adversaries by using new weapons including a Machine Gun, Molotov Cocktail, and Sniper Rifle.
