Destiny 2 is set to bring the series to the PC for the first time; however, it appears it wont be making the jump to the Nintendo Switch.

The news comes via IGN -- who spoke to project lead Mark Noteworthy post-reveal event yesterday, and who in turn revealed that Bungie has "no announcement to makes about the Switch at this time."

IGN then followed up by asking if this meant the franchise could come to the Switch in some way in the future, to which Noseworthy replied:

"I think it's pretty unrealistic, given we're an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it's a portable - and I love my Switch, I've got Breath of the Wild here, I've got it with me. It's incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it's at, I don't want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, 'it's a thing we'll consider, maybe next year.' There's no plans right now for Switch."

Destiny 2 is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is slated to launch on September 8th on the aforementioned platforms. The latter, the PC, is currently without a release date, and it appears it may not launch simultaneously alongside the console versions.
