Destiny Alternate Reality Game Officially Debunked by Bungie

Ever since Destiny‘s April Update, the Destiny community has been frantically trying to solve puzzles from a mysterious user Rezyl Azzir. First initiated by a Reddit user noticing a newly added Rezyl Azzir ghost in the Prison of Elders, the past two weeks has been a virtual Easter egg hunt decrypting and translating a wealth of cryptic information. The prevailing theory so far has been that the mastermind behind the secretive account — creating buzz for the devoted fanbase as they await their next update.

Unfortunately, that rumor is being put to rest. In the Bungie weekly update, Community Manager David Dague (“DeeJ”) added a sub-note to the end:

Oh, and hey. Rezyl Azzir is not one of us. We cannot confirm nor can we decipher these riddles. It’s a mystery to us as well. Fun stuff, though. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, don’t worry about it. If you do, enjoy the speculation.

So looks like we will be waiting a tad longer until we get official (or unofficial) news regarding what to expect next from Bungie.
