Detroit: Become Human and Dreams Not Confirmed for 2017 Despite New Video Suggesting as Much

Yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new PS4 themed trailer via its PlayStation Europe account that included a sizzle real of PS4 exclusive (or console exclusive) games coming in 2017.

Among many other games, Quantic Dreams’ Detroit: Become Human and Media Molecule’s Dreams were showcased, seemingly confirming the games for a 2017 release. However, this was a mistake.

When talking on Twitter to a fan, Sony Worldwide Studios president for SIE Shuhei Yoshida revealed that the listing was simply a mistake on the part of PlayStation EU.

While Yoshida-san has confirmed that neither game is confirmed for 2017, it doesn’t mean it’s out of the realm of possibility that either could come this year, it just means as of right now (again) neither game can be confirmed for the calendar year.

That being said, if either were to come this year we are almost certainly looking at something post-E3 2017, and likely in the fall. Personally, I’m not expecting either to hit this year.
