Developer Ouyas Shipped

On their blog, creators of the Ouya have announced that the 1200 developer consoles have shipped out.

Included in each developer console package is the following:

  • Jet black Ouya Dev package
  • Developer Welcome Letter
  • Translucent Dev Console with Micro-USB port
  • Two translucent Ouya controllers with batteries
  • HDMI cable
  • Micro USB cable
  • Power Adapter

The controllers included in these kits are also not the final version since the D-pad and triggers are still being tweaked. Also included is a first look at an early UI that will give developers a look at what the final version of the interface will look like.

Developers will be able to access the Ouya Developer Portal to get help, report bugs, and download the ODK to begin working on game ideas for the console.

With its March release approaching, Ouya is keeping to its goals and it will be interesting to see how the console performs when it is released.
