Developers Discuss Their Upcoming Racing Game DriveClub and the PS4 In a New Video

In this week’s Conversations with Creators, the developers at Evolution Studios discuss their upcoming realistic racing game DriveClub, which is being developed for PS4.

The creators state that since PS4 allows for a much deeper social connection, they want to incorporate that in their racing game by creating a genuine racing community that can compete competitively and collaborate as a team. They also want players to fully build and drive the community with player created events and an option to bundle your records as challenges that can be sent to other players. These bundled challenges will set up a leaderboard within the player circle that you sent it to, and those in your social circle can send the challenge to their friends and so forth. Evolution Studios also discusses how PS4 enhances the multiplayer experience–records and challenges can be created for any portion of the environment and race track.

Essentially they want DriveClub to be a racing game (and by extension a community) that can be accessible to the casual gamer but have deeper layers for the more hardcore player. You watch the full Conversations with Creators video below.
