The online features of Valhalla Game Studio's Devil's Third on Wii U have officially been shut down.

Back in June, Nintendo announced via their support site that Devil's Third's online features would be shutting down on December 28, and they have. At that time, they also reduced the game's price from $59.99 to $29.99. The game is still at that price.

Trying to access the game's online mode will garner players the following message:

Devil's Third was panned by critics upon release, with the online mode also coming under much criticism. Devil's Third is a Wii U console exclusive, although there is a free-to-play PC version of the game that is coming to North America soon.
