Did Sony Just Tease the PlayStation 4’s Reveal Date?

It sure seems that way. The sudden posting of a cryptic YouTube video and an invitation to an event in New York City has lit up the internet like a firecracker. The video teases only two things, the hashtag, “#PlayStation2013,” and the date, February 20th, 2013 – amidst an animation of the PlayStation controller’s symbols. On that day, a PlayStation event will be held in New York City, details of which are also nowhere to be found in the email sent to us. The last time Sony did anything like this, they announced the Vita.

This is all speculative for the moment, but given the proximity of both the Game Developer’s Conference and E3, it is hard to discard the possibility that the revelation of the PS3’s successor may finally be upon us. You can check out the video below.
