And you thought we were done with Persona news for this 24-hour period. How wrong you are! BlazBlue developer Arc System Works are working together with Atlus to develop a fighting title based in the world of Persona 4. It will initially be an arcade title, named Persona 4: Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena.

The game actually continues the story of Persona 4, and, in fact, picks up two months after the last events in the game. The premise here is that Teddie has set up a fighting tournament for the characters to participate in. What characters will you get to use, you ask? Confirmed so far are Chie, Yosuke, Aigis (from Persona 3) and the main character. Now we can truly find out how much ass Rise can kick, right?

The game is scheduled to be released earlier in 2012 in arcades, and hit both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the Summer of next year. Please note - Xbox 360. This is a departure from what Atlus has done with their standard Persona title, which have solely been on Sony's systems. Is this a sign of things to come with Persona 5? Only time will tell.
