Digital Distribution for SMT: Persona Slips Back

on September 11, 2009 5:49 PM

It was previously announced that the eagerly awaited re-release of the first Persona title would be available for download on the PlayStation Network the same day the UMD hits store shelves.  Apparently that is no longer the case.  The digital distribution of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona had to be pushed back several days until October 1.  Whether this is on Sony’s end or not is uncertain, but needless to say, if you had in mind downloading the title, you’ll have to wait a bit longer than you would if you went out to buy the UMD.

Here’s some words of wisdom for you: The UMD version is the same price as the version you’ll download off the PSN, and it comes with cool stuff, like a soundtrack CD!  Unless you have your mind set on a digital-only version, or will own a PSP Go, you might want to check out the UMD version instead.  And remember, that UMD version still ships on September 22 – only the digital version has been pushed back.
