2Awesome Studio revealed today that it is bringing its sci-fi shoot'em up Dimension Drive to Nintendo Switch today. The title is currently in Early Access on PC, but both version will officially launch this fall. The game will also be playable at Gamescom.

For those who don't know, Dimension Drive has players control two space shmup games at once, switching focus between the two to stay alive. The title mixes strategic shooting and puzzles with its gameplay, and includes four difficulty modes: Normal, Hard, Extreme, WTF!. Players can also unlock various weapons tracking down data cubes hidden in each level to improve their weapons.

Dimension Drive features both single player local co-op modes. In co-op, players share lives, so they must carefully work together in order to survive. Once players beat the game's story mode, players can turn to The Multiverse, which receives one new level every 2 weeks for players to compete for the highest score on.

If you are attending Gamescom  this year 2Awesome Studio will be showing off the game in the Indie Arena Booth.
