Dinner Date Available Now, Too Much of a Prude to Put Out

Indie developer Stout Games’ very first game, Dinner Date, is now available for purchase. Dinner Date is a high-concept game where you don’t quite control the main character; rather, you become the subconscious of 20-something male schlub Julian Luxemburg as he sits idly by while waiting for his date to arrive.  As his subconscious you’ll hear this inner-most thoughts and insecurities as clock keeps on ticking and more time passes on by.  Will his date ever arrive?

Find out by purchasing the game on their homepage for $12.95, or a “Dinner for Two” package price of $19.25.  While I don’t see myself wanting to play these kinds of games on a regular basis, I do appreciate developers that push the medium to such high-concept, high-risk boundaries. Expect a review from us fine folks very very soon.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
