Today Nippon Ichi finally revealed more of the upcoming PS Vita remake of the classic PS3 JRPG Disgaea 4, titled Disgeaea 4 Return, with quite a few info and a nice load of screenshots and artwork.
The remake will include additional elements compared to the original game, marking a sizable evolution since its release in 2011. PS Vita.specific systems included in Disgaea 3 Return and Disgaea D2 will make a comeback.
A sixth level of magic, called “Peta Magic” will also be added, on top of a new scenario involving Altina, and a new character (that will be revealed at a later time). In addition to that, all DLC and additional content released for the PS3 will be included in the game, making it the biggest Disgaea ever out of the box.
Besides the aforementioned new elements, the game will deliver the familiar experience from Disgaea 4. Below you can check a gallery showcasing the first pieces of artwork and screenshots to give you a glimpse of things to come.
Disgaea 4 Return will be released in Japan on January the 20 exclusively for the PS Vita and will cost 5,980 yen at retail and 5,000 yen in digital download form. Those that will preorder the game will receive the CD “Disgaea Vocal Songs: the Best“, which will include ten of the best vocal tracks from the whole series.
A western release hasn’t been announced yet, but I’m quite sure we won’t have to wait too long for that.
