Today the Japanese arms of Square Enix released more information about the closed beta of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, and more specifically, the full roster of characters that will be playable.

As you see in the gallery below, we have The Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy, Firion from Final Fantasy II, The Onion Knight from Final Fantasy III, Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, Bartz from Final Fantasy V, Terra from Final Fantasy VI, Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, Squall from Final Fantasy VIII, Zidane from Final Fantasy IX, Tidus from Final Fantasy X, Shantotto from Final Fantasy XI, Vaan from Final Fantasy XII, Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII and Y’shtola from Final Fantasy XIV.

Basically, we have a nice and neat roster limited to the heroes and including one character for almost all mainline Final Fantasy game. This doesn't mean that those will be all the characters coming to console, as we already learned earlier today that Jecht from Final Fantasy X will be included at launch. Presumably there will be more.

Incidentally, this is also the initial roster the arcade game was released with in 2015. With the recent announcement of Jecht, the arcade version counts 27 characters, and more are announced periodically. No character from Final Fantasy XV has been implemented yet.

If you have not registered for the beta yet, you can do so here for North America, and here for Europe. Registrations will be open only until August 15th in Europe and August 20th in North America. The beta itself will launch on August 25th at 9 PM Pacific time, and will end on September 3rd at the same hour.

Alongside the roster, we also got a few new screenshots, including one of the character selection screen.

You can check them out below, and if you're interested in seeing more, you can check out a few new screenshotsthe trailer showcasing the Lunar Subterterranes from Final Fantasy IV (from the arcade version), a tutorial from the E3 demo,  more gameplay footage, and the original announcement trailer, that came packed with the first batch of screenshots.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will launch early next year exclusively for PS4.
