Do You Like Pac-Man, Action Games, and Epilepsy? Presenting: Rainbogeddon

Rainbogeddon is Nitrome’s latest entry into their catalog of solid games, and holy crap, is it a barnburner. The title above basically says it all: it’s an action-oriented take on the Pac-Man formula, where you’ll actually have some sort of resistance to offer against the baddies as you’re snatching up all the little dots to proceed to the next level.

You’re going to need all the help you can get as well; as addictive as Rainbogeddon┬áis, it also gets really damned hard. The variety of enemies can get a bit chaotic, and some of the power-ups can often have unintended consequences, but man, I just can’t stop playing, and I’m not even a fan of Pac-Man. Try it out here for yourself.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
