Does Rolling Speed Things Up in Zelda Games?

Nintendojo answers the question you’ve had in the back of your head ever since the first time you rolled all the way across Hyrule Field in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Is this getting me there quicker or do I just look like a Hylian jackass?

And┬áif neither video tickles your fancy, well then I can rustle up some cute cat footage that might rouse your interest.So is┬árolling really the best way to get across Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time?

Well, as you can see from the video above, it seems as though rolling offers a slight advantage over running. On the other hand, Nintendojo doesn’t quite do things like the pros. Check out this speed run video:
