A little over three years ago, lone-wolf developer Ben Esposito -- who has previously worked as a level designer on What Remains of Edith Finch and The Unfinished Swan -- revealed Donut County with a "reveal trailer." What was shown garnered considerable attention for its charming visuals and novel gameplay premise.

Now three year laters, a second trailer has been released via the game's newly founded publisher, Annapurna Interactive. Additionally, the game's release date now claims a vague "2018" release window, replacing an equally vague "2017" release window.

For those that don't know: Donut County is a physics adventure game where you play as a mysterious and glorious hole in the ground that gets bigger and bigger every time you swallow something. Further, you can combine objects in the hole for surprising effects, as well as to solve a variety of puzzles.

Meanwhile, deep underground, the residents of Donut County must figure out who opened up the holes that wrecked all of their homes and lives. Only Mira, a teen who works at the local donut shop, knows the truth -- and apparently it is kinda her fault.

Donut County is in development for PC, Mac, and iOS. Console versions of the game are still currently up in there, labeled "TBA."
