id Software released a new trailer for DOOM today which features the game’s SnapMap mode.
This trailer showcases some of the SnapMap Development Team’s favorite single-player style campaigns created by the community, alongside things they have added to SnapMap since launch.
It was also revealed that DOOM’s SnapMap Community has published over 165,000 maps. To help organize this plethora of content, a Featured Map section is being added to the SnapMap menus so players can find the latest official content easier. A Review Queue, where players can play and review/recommend the newest maps, has also been added.
DualShockers gave DOOM and 8.0 saying “DOOM feels like it has just the right amount of reverence in honoring one of the true classics of gaming, while adding enough polish, shine, and blazing heavy metal to truly feel like DOOM reborn in the way it was meant to be”. You can watch the trailer below. DOOM is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
