To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Double Dragon series, Arc System Works launched the first teaser trailer for what is to be Double Dragon IV, coming to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam on January 30, 2017.

The Double Dragon franchise began in 1987 in the Arcade and was slowly ported to Nintendo and Sega home consoles over the years. This fourth installment in the series will feature the game's iconic 8-bit graphics and also feature some sweet side-scrolling beat-em-up action. Furthermore, the story will pick up after the elimination of the Shadow Warriors in Double Dragon II.

In June of 2015, the original IP holder, Technos, sold the Double Dragon IP to Arc System Works after the company faced bankruptcy. Now, we finally get a look at where the developer has taken the long standing franchise by sticking to the game's roots, which will surely excite fans of the series.
