Double Fine Fully Funds a Game Through KickStarter in Hours

on February 9, 2012 2:00 PM

I work late night hours so imagine my surprise to get off work last night and see that Double Fine has started a KickStarter campaign to fund a game by raising $400,000 with a goal of 34 days. The game in question is going to be an “old school adventure game” which knowing Double Fine will be unlike anything else on the market.

In a little over eight hours the game was fully funded and the amount continues to rise, currently sitting at $706,140. Let me re-iterate that. It hasn’t even been a full day yet and they’re nearly at DOUBLE their goal (no pun intended).

Check out the KickStarter page for more information on the project and to contribute yourself if you wish.
