During a livestream held yesterday, Square Enix shared some new information about Dragon Quest Builders, that will release in Japan on January 28th for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

While we don’t know about the full duration of the game, the first continent will take 10 hours to complete if you stick only to the story. The second will actually take longer, and there’s a number of continents in the game.

One of the activities available in the game is fishing, and you can actually fish monsters if you’re unlucky (or lucky?), not just fish.

Once you complete the story on the first continent, you can access the Free Build mode. There you can build freely and also use blueprints unlocked during gameplay. Buildings can be shared online with other users up to a size of 24x24x16 blocks. Interestingly, your builds can be shared cross-platform between PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
