During the Japanese Nintendo Direct broadcasted today, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest X will finally make the jump to Nintendo Switch this fall (in Japan).

Incidentally, the release on the new platform will mark the discontinuation of support of the Wii version, but those who own it will be able to upgrade to the Switch version for free.

You can check out the trailer below.

Dragon Quest X is already available for Wii, Wii u and PC (and 3DS via cloud streaming). It will also come to PS4 in Japan, with no western release announced, for the moment.
