Dragon’s Crown Wasn’t As Sexy When It Was Made For The Dreamcast 15 Years Ago

Thanks to newly released Dragon’s Crown artwork, gamers can peek into the mind of Vanillaware president George Kamitani, and how he envisioned the game all the way back in 1998 when it was planned for the Dreamcast.

The artwork, which you can view below, shows off a decidedly less “sexy” version of the Dragon’s Crown game that has got the industry so hot and bothered lately. The artwork also shows how the female warrior design was the base for Fantasy Earth Zero, a Square Enix game that Kamitani worked on as art director.

Dragon’s Crown is set to release on July 25th in Japan, August 6th in North America, and later this year in Europe. For more on the game, check out DualShockers’ wealth of Dragon’s Crown news.
