Only eight days ago Red Thread Games opened the Kickstarter Campaign for Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey. Today, thanks to 13,107 adventure game lovers the funding goal has been reached, with $854,426 pledged at the moment of this writing.

This marks the official return of one of the most beloved adventure sagas in the history of the genre, and a welcome one, especially due to the fact that the second chapter ended with what you'd call a serious cliffhanger.

There is, of course, still plenty time to reach many of the stretch goals, some of which have already been revealed (you can see them in the infographic below). Now it's time for Director Ragnar Tørnquist and team to celebrate "by going grocery shopping, followed by Chunky Monkey icecream and a bottle of inexpensive red wine. Like a BOSS" as he shared on his twitter account.
