Driveclub Will Get Campaign Races with Weather; Evolution went to “Extreme Lengths” in Recording Cars

The upcoming PS4 exclusive Driveclub will get weather shortly after launch according to Game Director Paul Rustchynsky, but will it be available in the single player campaign? Apparently the answer is yes, even if it won’t be added to existing races, but included in new ones, as Rustchynsky himself mentioned on Twitter.

We’ll be adding new races that’ll feature weather.

Audiophiles will also be pleased to know that “nearly all” cars have been recorded with the array of 16 microphones which was mentioned earlier this year:

Nearly all yes. We went to extreme lengths to capture the audio on DRIVECLUB.

Considering that audio is often the weak point of racing games, with cars that either sound very similar to each other, or simply not very realistic, I cam definitely say that I’m eager to hear the results. What I was given to listen at recent industry events was definitely pleasing.
