Driveclub Will Have Super-Fast Load Times: Many Tracks Load in Under 10 Seconds

on August 14, 2014 8:35 AM

One of the most widespread problems with driving games is that loading tracks normally takes very long. Evolution Studios took note of that issue and worked hard to get rid of it, as mentioned by Game Director Paul Rustchynsky during a behind-closed-doors presentation held today at Gamescom.

Rustchynsky told us that he doesn’t want players spend almost as much time loading the game as what they spend driving, and all tracks load under in under thirty seconds, with many that takes under ten seconds to load.

Considering the mediocre results achieved in this field by other racing games, this is definitely an outstanding technical achievement.
