During its panel at PAX West, Gearbox Software announced Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary Edition World Tour for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The new edition features the original Duke Nukem 3D, plus eight new levels by the original team and new music, and can be played in both the old graphics or with revamped visuals and improved frame rate thanks to Gearbox's new "True3D Rendering" mode.

Jon St. John also returns as the voice of Duke Nukem, which is pretty neat. The new music is composed by Lee Jackson, who creatwed Duke Nukem’s iconic theme "Grabbag" and also was the sound designer for Duke Nukem 3D.

Gearbox Software President Randy Pitchford accompanied the press release with a statement:

"When I first moved out to Texas to join the Duke Nukem 3D development team in the mid-nineties, I could not possibly predict that we were all going to be part of the emergence of the 3D First Person videogame genre that would ultimately impact the entire videogame industry. Making it possible for Allen, Richard, Lee and Jon to all come back together 20 years later to bring a whole new episode to the classic game is just one of those rare and incredible things that I hope will bring joy and happiness to hardcore videogame fans new and old."

The game will launch on October 11th for $19.99.
