This morning the Twitter accounts of several GAME stores came alight with pictures of PS4 units, inviting customers to go check them out. Unfortunately, though, those lovely looking consoles are just dummies.

When asked, an employee from the Leigh store confirmed that the units are just empty shells, but mentioned that they still have the actual port layout on the back. He even nicely agreed to send me a close-up picture showing them in detail.

The picture shows the PS4 label, and the areas for the Digital Out audio port (there seems to be a Mini USB port placed in it, the employee sharing the picture had no idea on what it is for or if it even has a purpose. Update: commenter Paul McCarthy suggests below that it should be to pass controller input over to a working PS4 unit locked inside the cabinet underneath, which makes a lot of sense), the HDMI Out port, the Ethernet port and the AUX port, that will host a custom shaped USB 3.0 cable used to connect to the PlayStation Camera. The rectangular hole at the bottom is for the power cable.

Below you can see a gallery with all the lovely console porn shaered by various GAME employees across the United Kingdom. Are you going to drive to your nearest GAME store to check it out? The second picture, shared by the Dudley store is particularly hilarious. In the last shot of the gallery from the Plymouth store you can also see some dummy PS4 game cases.
