Dustforce, that little game that incorporates elements of Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Strider, along with some fantastic art, music, and gameplay is out today for consoles. However, one aspect of its PC counterpart, the level editor, will not be making its way there. Capcom has a found a way to compromise with gamers on this though.

“We looked into it and it would’ve been fantastic to have, but it wasn’t something we could do for this title on console,” Capcom Senior Producer Rey Jimenez explained, “However, we will be releasing a large chunk of the best maps created on the PC version for free on the Vita and PSN versions. We’ll announce more details on it soon.”

Dustforce was developed by Hitbox Team alongside QLOC and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita.
