Dynasty Warriors 9 was recently unveiled by Koei Tecmo, and the only revealed platform so far is PS4. Quite a few might have been asking themselves what kind of support it will get for PS4 Pro.

Game Director Atsushi Miyauchi answered exactly that question in an interview on the Taiwanese website Bahamuth’s Crazy Arcade.

Miyauchi-san mentioned that it’ll be possible to play in 4K resolution (without specifying if native of checkerboard) at stable 30 frames per second, or in 1080p resolution at stable 60 FPS.

He also admitted that Dynasty Warriors 8‘s visuals were a result of the game being developed for PS3, and then improved for the PS4 port. On the other hand, Dynasty Warriors 9 has been developed from the ground up for PS4, achieving much better graphics.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will be released in Japan for PS4 in 2017. Release dates and platforms for the already confirmed western release have not been announced yet.
