E3 2010: 3DS Loads Up on the RPGs

You guys know me, I’m the RPG guy. I prefer my RPGs on consoles, but there comes a point when games are just so good, you don’t care what system they’re on – console or handheld. It seems Nintendo was being serious about this 3DS thing, especially when it comes to RPGs. In addition to all the other great Nintendo and third-party franchises coming to the new handheld system, might I direct your attention to the list of RPGs announced for the device.

  • Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Devil Survivor (Atlus)
  • Etrian Odyssey (Atlus)
  • Super Robot franchise (Namco Bandai)
  • Paper Mario (Nintendo)
  • Dragon Quest franchise (Square-Enix)
  • Final Fantasy franchise (Square-Enix)
  • Kingdom Hearts franchise (Square-Enix)

Sony, you have your work cut out for you. Nintendo has Shin freaking Megami freaking Tensei for their new little do-dad. Go them. I can’t wait!
