E3 2011: Double Fine Shows Off Sesame Street: Once Upon A Monster

Tim Schaefer’s Sesame Street game is looking wonderful. They showed off a short demo at the Microsoft E3 press conference, and it’s really getting me interested. The demo features Elmo and Cookie Monster running into a cute stone monster and playing with it in a series of Kinect minigames. The visual design is lovely and whimsical, and the puppets look perfect. The Kinect gameplay doesn’t look like anything special from the demonstration, but the father and son playing it looked like they were having a good time. It looks like a perfect game to play with one’s kid.

I normally wouldn’t be excited for a Sesame Street game, but Double Fine’s sold me on it.
