E3 2011: Fruit Ninja Kinect-ing with Players This Summer

on June 8, 2011 6:30 PM

We had heard some rumblings of this title in the past, but now we know for sure – Fruit Ninja is coming to Xbox 360 and is a Kinect title. That’s right, you can now physically wave your hands through the air to slice and dice innocent fruit as you see fit.

This seems, to me, like the perfect use for Kinect. Forget all these voice activated gizmos in Mass Effect 3 or trying to steer a car in Forza 4, it’s interesting and quirky experiences like Fruit Ninja that can really bring life to the device. See also Child of Eden, but that is a whole other news item entirely. Fruit Ninja Kinect will be available this Summer as part of Microsoft’s “Summer of Arcade” promotion. Hit the break for some cool screens.
