We finally got an answer. The PlayStation Vita may not rip a whole in our wallets after all.

Vita will cost $249 for a Wi-Fi only model and $299 for Wi-Fi and 3G.

For our international friends, that means 24,980 yen (with tax) and 29,980 yen as well as 249 and 299 euros.

It's cheaper than many expected, matching the 3DS.
