Sony’s new augmented reality format utilizes a brand-new, previously unheard of technology to engage and inspire fans to engage with their software. This unprecedented technology is called a “Book”. All kidding aside, Wonder Book will host a library of games and stories that players will be able to experience through use of their Playstation move. Due to release this holiday season, Sony demonstrated a preliminary playthrough of their upcoming title Book of Spells, written by lauded author J.K. Rowling.

Book of Spells will allow players to partake in the fanciful world of magic and sorcery. Each stage completion will award the players with a unique poem, which will combine to chronicle the story of a Hogwart’s student who didn’t quite make it. Players will be able to interact with the story and complete tasks through use of the move controller and an augmented-reality based pop-up entertainment mechanic. You can check the trailer below.
