E3 2013: Bungie’s Newest IP Destiny Gets an Epic New Trailer and Gameplay Showing

Bungie’s latest IP, Destiny, got a lengthy introduction at the Sony E3 conference. And from what I’ve seen, Destiny really seems to be coming along well–a setting with gorgeous alien designs, cool weapons and even cooler armor. And I’ll admit, I enjoyed the scripted dialogue between the two guys playing the gameplay demonstration since it made the two characters feel more alive and real.

The only complaint I have is that I want to see Destiny bursting with more originality–Bungie should make this game look, feel and play completely differently from their old Halo series. They need to make this title stand apart to show what kind of game they can create now that they’re away from their defining IP.

Another point of interest is that Sony announced they have a special partnership with Bungie, which means they’ll be getting exclusive benefits (such as DLC and other bonus goodies) for any game that Bungie releases in the future.
