E3 2013: Microsoft Officially Reveals Xbox One’s Price

on June 10, 2013 1:57 PM

Microsoft just fired the first shot in the next generation pricing wars. During the press conference at E3 the manufacturer announced that the console will be sold at a MSRP of $499.

Now we can only wait for Sony’s response, considering that the price of the Xbox One is probably pushed up a little (or a lot) by the new Kinect included with every box.

What console will be priced higher? Or maybe they’ll launch with exactly the same MSRP? For now we can only wait and see what the future will hold.

All I know is that the first draft of this post had “$299” in it. For the first few second my brains simply refused to process “499”. One thing is for sure. It’s going to be interesting.
