E3 2013: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Makes an (Adorably) Grizzly Debut at EA Conference

While the Call of Duty fake-out at the start of the video was hilariously done, the gameplay footage for their upcoming game, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, is anything but. The footage shows a gritter, rougher version of the classic Plants vs. Zombies game in a third person point of view, with the plants taking the fight to the zombies’ home turf.

The environments are surprising detailed and pretty and the coop gameplay is intriguing but I just can’t wrap my head around the abrupt genre shift.  The trailer and screenshots from the game are posted below so you can see Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for yourself.
