EA No Longer Publishing RAGE From ID Software

on December 15, 2009 12:03 PM

Little is known about ID Software’s Mad Max-esque, post apocalyptic shooter Rage. Detailes are quite sparse at the moment and what we do know is that there will be guns, driving, and awesome graphics. Well, thanks a press release dropped off this morning, we also now know that Electronic Arts will NOT be publishing Rage next year. Zenimax (ID Software’s parent company) will in fact be publishing the game and handling all of the title’s marketing as well. This kind of stuff happens all of the time and usually doesn’t hinder a titles development which is in fact the case here as well. However, is more of an eyebrow raiser as it shows just how deep the rabbit hole goes for EA. This is the same EA that has recently canned about 8 titles and shut down an entire studio (Pandemic Studios). Seems like things may be even worse than we thought. Where was my prediction Pachter!
