After a monumentally successful beta test last month, EA put a damp on the building buzz surrounding Star Wars Battlefront by revealing the game’s $50 Season Pass and $120 Ultimate Edition. The company is somewhat infamous for its DLC practices, and fans were quick to criticize the lack of details they received when they were expected to shell out an extra $50 for the game’s upcoming content.
During a recent investor’s presentation, EA COO Peter Moore spoke a bit on the Season Pass and what it will offer players:
“What we’ve announced is four extra packs over the next 12-18 months coming post launch. You’ll see new universes, you’re gonna see new player actions, obviously new weaponry as well.”
The Season Pass is expected to cover over a year and a half of lifetime for Star Wars: Battlefront which is promising from a developer’s standpoint as well as a player eager for more Star Wars action. The DLC packs will most likely mirror those of the Battlefield franchise, which each include some new maps and weapons. More official details on the Season Pass are expected in the coming weeks.
Star Wars: Battlefront launches of Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 17, 2015.
