Origin, EA's digital games platform and client, has serviced users with its "On the House" promotion since March to give free games out each month with titles like Dead Space and Battlefield 3 making an appearance on the list, and for August the service is going old-school with its latest title.

EA revealed that the old-school PC title Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger will be gracing the "On the House" selection for the month of August, and while the name may not ring a bell for many gamers of today, PC gamers of the past (or those looking to get their start into FMV-wonder) can re-live its space-opera magic with Mark Hamill and Malcolm McDowell. If you're looking for a trip back to 1994, taking up EA's free offer might just be the place to do it.
