EA Talks Mass Effect Andromeda, Announces Protagonist’s Name

on June 13, 2016 3:51 PM

While very little was discussed or shown regarding Mass Effect Andromeda  at EA’s 2016 E3 Press Conference, Mac Walter from Bioware announced a few details about the protagonist on YouTube at E3. Specifically, the protagonist seen in the trailer — which, as always, will be available in both genders — will be named Rider (or, perhaps Ryder, it is unclear).

More interestingly, there will be “more than one Rider” — Walter cryptically explained that there is a “Rider family” that will play an important part of the story. Last but not least, it was confirmed that there will only be one vehicle and the game is in the final stages of development.

Check out Mass Effect’s dev diary — the full game plans on releasing in early 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
