Ed Boon Teases Injustice 2 and Answers Questions Regarding MK: Conquest and Mythologies

Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, held an impromptu “Ask Me Anything” with his fans yesterday. The famed developer answered questions regarding the future of the Injustice franchise, as well as concerns about a return in some form of the Mortal Kombat: Konquest (1998-1999) television show, and the one-off sub-series, Mortal Kombat Mythologies.

Mr. Boon was cryptic but did not outright deny the possibility of an eventual sequel to this year’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, and was fairly certain that neither Mortal Kombat: Konquest, nor Mortal Kombat Mythologies will be returning in any form. The former seems highly unlikely at this point due to the increased popularity of Machinima’s Mortal Kombat: Legacy web-series.

Recently, Mr. Boon hinted at the possible return of 2005’s Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks in HD form.
