Sony Computer Entertainment Japan released the new sales chart for PSN games in the archipelago of the rising sun, and we have a new star at the top among PS4 games. Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair managed to dethrone Bloodborne, that still holds strong  in 2nd place.

Interestingly, Bloodborne dropped less than the other two games that launched as solid hits in the same weeek, Sword Art Online: Lost Song and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3.

This goes to show that the demand for From Software’s latest masterpiece is still strong in Japan, despite the fact that it was unavailable in many stores, causing a bigger drop on the Media Create charts, which are related only to  brick and mortar retail.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see how long Bloodborne‘s tail will last, and where it’ll be placed next week on Media Create’s charts, since retailers probably managed to get a second shipment.
