Console gamers traversing the continents in The Elder Scrolls Online have a reason for their characters to stay in one place today. The Homestead Update was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today, allowing players to purchase homes.

This free update provides about 40 living quarters for players to purchase and customize with more than two thousand items (including furniture, book shelves, unique items, etc.) to fill their new abodes with. These properties can either be purchased with in-game funds or your real-life cash. The update also provides a few new quests to give a stroll.

The Elder Scrolls Online released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2015. The next sizable expansion for the game, Morrowind, will be releasing on June 6.
