Electronic Arts will continue its tradition of hosting a live show this year at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, following the EA Play format.

The publisher announced today that it will host its show on August 21st at 6:30 PM local time, which translates to 9:30 AM PDT. It'll include new gameplay, live matches and "a few surprises."

During Gamescom Proper, that will extend between August 22nd and August 26th, Electronic Arts' games will be available at the (usually massive) booth. It will include 400 gameplay stations demoing  Star Wars Battlefront IINeed for Speed PaybackFIFA 18Battlefield 1: In the Name of the TsarStar Wars Galaxy of Heroes and FIFA Mobile.

The central stage of the booth will also come with live entertainment for attendees, hosting gameplay deep dives, producer interviews, competitions and more.

Of course, the live show will be livestreamed, and if last year is any indication, we're gonna see some interesting things.

It goes without saying that DualShockers will be at the show, and I'll be walking the floor ready to report on all the things, to bring you as much additional content as possible.

In case you missed it, you can also catch up with EA's announcements around E3 timing, by watching the recording of its EA Play press conference.
