Electronic Arts Teases Unannounced New IP for Fiscal Year 2017; To be Revealed Soon

During Electronic Arts’ quarterly financial call, Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen mentioned something definitely interesting on the upcoming line-up for the company.

Jorgensen explained that Electronic Arts is making broad investments in the growth of the company well beyond fiscal year 2018 and 2019. An action game is currently in development slated for relase in fiscal year 2020 or 2021. Most of what the company is currently investing in will come in fiscal year 2019 and 2020.

That said, Jorgensen teased an unannounced new IP coming in fiscal year 2017, and that will probably be revealed “soon.”

No further information was provided on the nature of the upcoming new IP, but it’ll certainly be interesting to see if Electronic Arts will be ready to announce it at its EA Play event on June 12th, or at Gamescom.
